Sometimes all it takes is one look at a knife’s design and its credentials to determine it will be an instant classic. After a string of incredibly popular debut knives, Tactile Knife Co. shake the market up again with their Maverick premium folding everyday carry knife. With the Maverick, you get a beautiful knife made in collaboration with custom knifemaker Richard Rogers. You get a premium and sizeable MagnaCut steel blade in a versatile shape. You get a secure ambidextrous crossbar lock. And like their pens and other knives and collaborations, you even get to choose between a minimalist titanium handle scale or a more grippy Micarta treatment based on what you have in mind for EDC.

The star of the show, of course, is the Maverick‘s blade steel. MagnaCut is a next-generation stainless steel that functionally replaces S30V and other ubiquitous Crucible steels on the EDC market today. And Tactile Knife Co. has heat treated the 3.6″ MagnaCut blade on the Maverick to an extremely impressive 63-64 Rockwell hardness. The Maverick is a folding knife with a keen maximum sharpness that will hold an edge far longer than most steels. The only downside is it will take some elbow grease to sharpen this knife when you eventually manage to dull it, but the extra effort is well worth it.

Tactile Knife Co. manufactures all of its cutlery here in the United States at its Texas machine shop. The quality and attention to detail are immediately apparent, especially in minor details like the shape of the pivot cover and the thumbstud, to say the least of Tactile’s overall design language, like in the handle grooves. The Maverick ticks all the boxes for an incredibly performant EDC knife and will be a pleasure for you to use and pocket for years to come, and like most of Tactile’s products, of an heirloom heritage that can stand the test of trends and time. Click the link below to join the waiting list to secure a spot for the Maverick today.

When you think of a fixed-blade knife, chances are you have something too big for EDC in your mind. But when you look at a knife like the new Tactile Knife Co. Dreadeye, you get a knife designed from the ground up for minimal everyday carry. Our friends at Tactile Knife co-developed this knife in-house in collaboration with custom knife maker Matthew Christensen, and that unique Tactile design language makes its mark on this blade. The Dreadeye features a sleek form factor and super premium stainless steel for excellent cutting performance at its core. And with a 2.75″ long blade, it’s the perfect size for everyday carry, whether you’re heading out to the great outdoors or on daily errands.

The Dreadeye is Tactile’s first foray into the world of everyday carry fixed blades, and what an initial entry this is. Its sub-3” blade features a unique edge profile that crosses a traditional drop-point and a tanto design. The unique design of this knife makes it well-suited to take on both slicing and piercing tasks, with its well-defined pointed tip and sharp angled belly. Its cutting potential is also at its peak with the knife’s use of CPM MagnaCut stainless steel. MagnaCut is a next-generation stainless supersteel that functionally replaces S30V and other ubiquitous Crucible steels on the EDC market today.

Each Dreadeye is machined and assembled in the United States by Tactile Knife Co. in Texas, and the quality blade mates with comfortable Richlite Micarta canvas scales. Being a fixed-blade knife, the best way to EDC it on your person is with a belt holster, and you get to pick between a sturdy Kydex sheath or a more traditional heritage leather sheath designed by Chatanooga Leatherworks. Either option is compatible with either left or right-handed carry, but only the Kydex sheath is compatible with MOLLE/PALS webbing for tactical applications on nylon gear.

The Tactile Knife Co. Dreadeye is a truly modern and unique EDC fixed-blade knife suited for various daily tasks. With Tactile’s strong pedigree and the exceptional design of this knife, you can expect the Dreadeye to be hard to find after its initial run. Make sure to click the link below and reserve one for yourself at Tactile Knife Co. to buy one when it launches.

Tactile Turn will be a name familiar to many EDCers, often topping “best of” lists with their impeccable catalog of quality pens and writing implements. Their precision crafting and attention to detail has made their products a favorite of the community, and this year they’re expanding their horizons by making knives as well. Rebranding as the Tactile Knife Company, their focus is set on making premium modern gents knives that have a beautiful look to match the elegance of their stationery. The Rockwall is one of their flagship knives, exuding class and style while remaining functional. It’s the culmination of form meeting function, executed the way only Tactile can.

The Rockwall features a 2.84“ flat ground XHP stainless steel blade with a Rockwell hardness rating of 60-61 for excellent edge retention. It sports a stonewash finish that matches the look of the all titanium handle. Where other titanium handled knives have a smooth appearance, the Tactile Knife Company leveraged their experience with handheld implements to apply a subtle texture on the 4″ long handle that improves your grip on the blade during use.

There’s a cutout in the handle where the flipper opening tab sits while the blade is deployed, acting as a choil to guard against cutting yourself during hard use. That flipper opening also allows for one-handed operation, with a smooth action thanks to the ceramic ball pivot bearings and a clean detent. A stainless steel insert lock holds everything in place during use, and when you’re done, the deep carry pocket clip helps the Rockwall stay low profile until you need it again.

Every part of the Rockwall knife was designed from scratch by the team at the Tactile Knife Company, and each knife is crafted by hand and tool at their Texas machine shop. The small scale of their production does mean that if the knife suits your fancy, you should click the link below to join its production waitlist. They release batches of knives for purchase every two weeks, so secure yours today.
