We recommend the Elementum as one of the best budget knives you can EDC, and judging by its popularity with knife enthusiasts, the community seems to agree. Its sized just right with a 2.96“ drop point blade in a capable D2 tool steel, with a quick rear flipper deployment and reliable liner lock. The G10 scale adds just the right amount of grip resulting in a balanced, functional knife that fits the minimalist aesthetic while still delivering on performance and value. The Elementum was awarded Blade Show 2021’s Best Buy of the Year, adding even more to its legacy as an everyday carry knife.

(Editor’s note: We awarded its button-lock successor as Best EDC Knife at this year’s SHOT Show, so head over to our coverage to check it out!)

When you carry a Dessert Warrior, you go beyond the practicality of EDCing a knife. This line of collaboration knives sold by BladeHQ has made its mark on the community, and you can see why with just one glance. With its deliciously-beautiful handle and playful pink and blue colors, the  CIVIVI Elementum Dessert Warrior is sure to stand out in your hand and give the rest of your EDC a tasty pop. And the fact that the Elementum is one of the best everyday carry knives you can pick out for yourself is just icing on the cake.

The CIVIVI Elementum comes with a donut-pink G-10 handle with playful sparkles in its Dessert Warrior edition. The 2.96″ D2 tool steel blade has also been given a frosted-blue finish to contrast the handles’ colorful scales and tasty “bread” liners. This adds a striking aesthetic to the knife and improves the blade’s rust resistance because D2 is not stainless steel.

And aside from the unique colorway, everything that has made the CIVIVI Elementum such a popular everyday carry flipper folding blade remains the same. You get solid specs at an affordable price point, a sleek profile, snappy flipper opening, and a skeletonized clip (also in a frosted-blue finish) to take care of pocket carry.

We’ll be straight with you: if you want your hands on the CIVIVI Elementum Dessert Warrior, you have to be hungry for it. This limited edition collaborative knife will be available on Tuesday, August 16, at 10AM Mountain Daylight Time in the United States. You can only purchase it at BladeHQ. So, mark your calendar, have a nice breakfast, and get ready to pick up this sweet knife. You won’t regret it.

The CIVIVI Elementum has been a community-favorite choice for everyday carry over the past year or so, but if you’ve been holding back on giving this folding knife a try because you’re a stickler for high-end premium blade steel, the new BladeHQ exclusive edition of this knife is made for you. That’s because this new release adds CPM-S35VN stainless steel into the mix, mated with a gorgeous natural G10 handle scale that contrasts well with the stonewash finish of the blade itself. The Elementum was always a capable knife, but with this upgrade it’s even more equipped to help you take on any situation.

The use of S35VN lets you get maximum performance out of the CIVIVI Elementum’s 2.625“ hollow-ground blade forged in a drop-point shape for all-around great performance at cutting, slicing, and piercing utility tasks. The premium metallurgy lets you achieve a sharp edge on the blade that lasts for longer despite day in and day out use. This means less time sharpening the knife and more time being able to use it for your everyday needs. For this upgrade, the blade stock measures thinner as well, improving its overall slicing performance. Jimping on the spine of the blade and below the flipper tab afford a secure grip during rough use or more delicate control for precision work. The blade is available in two different stonewash finishes, including a sleek black look that looks especially striking pared with the grippy natural G10 handle scales.

Deploying the blade is quick and easy thanks to a convenient rear flipper tab, making it ideal for fidgeting as well as fast cutting tasks. It locks into stainless steel liners, finished to tonally match blade and hardware color for a cohesive look. An included tip-up pocket clip carries the knife deeply and discreetly for easy EDC, while a built-in attachment point opens up customization options for lanyards, beads, and more.

And even if you already have an CIVIVI Elementum of your own, this exclusive edition is the definitive version of the knife with the best steel that’s ever been sported on this knife and it’s well worth picking up. And due to the limited nature of this exclusive release, you’re going to want to do that sooner rather than later or else you risk it running out once the supply runs out. So make sure to click the link below and secure one for yourself today.

The CIVIVI Elementum has become one of the community’s favorite folding knives for everyday carry, with a sleek and minimal design that’s well suited whether you’re headed to the office or to the great outdoors. Their new Shred Carbon Fiber Damascus model plants itself firmly into the modern gents territory with a classy blade and a stand-out gorgeous drop point blade to match. But its the new Button Lock mechanism that makes this knife even more special than you might think, allowing for rapid deployment while providing enough security to ensure it won’t fail on you when the going gets tough.

With the introduction of the button plunge lock at the pivot of the blade, the Elementum eliminates the potential for an accidental blade opening that can happen with the original model’s flipper design. Instead, you actuate the mechanism by pressing the lock’s side button, and you can rely on the caged ball bearing pivot to help you flick the blade into place. And because the mechanism itself remains a fully-manual operation, you won’t run into problems with your ability to carry this blade like you might with a spring-assisted or automatic knife so long as you check your own local laws beforehand.

The Elementum Button Lock’s 3.25″ Damascus blade has an attractive patterning that mates well with the carbon fiber handle scales that add a further touch of class to the knife while helping keep things relatively lightweight at 3.42 oz in total. And when the blade is not in use, you can slip it into your pockets where the deep carry pocket clip allows for discreet right-handed tip-up storage until the time calls.

With its unique mix of new technology and beautiful design, this is an Elementum that you’re going to want to pick up, whether it’s your first or you’re looking to add to your ever-growing collection. It’s a blade that looks as great as it can cut. Make it yours today by clicking the link below before it sells out.

While many of the most recognized knife companies have been around for decades, there are a few relative newcomers to the market you should definitely keep your eye on. CIVIVI is one of those brands to keep on your radar, as they manage to impress by delivering some great designs and material choices to a much more affordable price point for the average consumer year after year. With 2021 underway they’ve announced their lineup for the year, with a few standouts for the EDC crowd. In this quick round-up we’re highlighting their kiridashi-inspired collaboration utility knife, one of their first frame lock options, and a new and improved version of a crowd-favorite EDC knife.

Ki-V

While CIVIVI is no slouch when it comes to their original designs, they also do an excellent job of collaborating with custom knife makers to bring unique designs to their production knives. From Ostap Hel comes the Ki-V, a kiridashi-inspired folding utility knife. It boasts no lock in its stainless steel frame, making it a no-fuss option for quick cutting tasks and precision work that doesn’t require much force, like opening boxes. For added convenience it deploys via a flipper tab or with two hands to overcome its double detent. The kiridashi blade features 9Cr18MoV steel, 1.5“ of usable cutting edge, and some jimping on the spine for your index finger. For something so compact and convenient to carry for general use, it fortunately comes with a deep pocket clip to keep it close by as well.

Perf

2021 ushers in CIVIVI’s first ever frame lock offerings, with the Perf sporting one in its skeletonized handle. Strategic cutouts in the stainless steel handle retain rigidity and durability for general use while cutting weight down for comfortable pocket carry at about 2.8 ounces. Its 3.1“, flat ground drop point blade promises excellent slicing performance and all-around EDC use, while its Nitro-V steel offers high hardness and some corrosion resistance. Fans of simple designs, flipper deployment, and frame locks should look forward to the upcoming Perf from CIVIVI.

The Elementum Button Lock also measures in slightly longer in the 14C28N steel blade at 3.5“, delivering even more usable cutting edge and a more presence in the hand.
